Summer Exhibition 2019
Celebrate the start of the school holidays and the Summer Exhibition with this drop-in workshop that will transport you to an imagined British seaside.
Two things say British summertime like nothing else: one – the seaside, salty seawater, sticky ice cream and colourful beach umbrellas, and two – the opening of the Royal Academy’s annual Summer Exhibition, which is the world’s largest open submission art show and has been running since 1769.
Come and help us celebrate this year’s exhibition with art-making activities inspired by a classic seaside fête and the huge variety of colourful works on show in the exhibition.
