Dive into line, colour and colour theory in this secondary teachers’ continuing professional development workshop.

Join artist and educator Emyr Williams to experiment with new ways of making and thinking. Inspired by our latest exhibition, Michael Craig-Martin, you’ll explore different works and look closely at the use of line and colour in art.

Including a brief visit to the exhibition, we’ll think about depiction, juxtaposition and synthesis and explore techniques for creating form and space through line and colour in your own drawings and paintings.

We’ll also consider questions of the role of art history in contemporary practice, incorporating accessible and engaging thinking into the curriculum, and how it applies to the art classroom.

This workshop is designed with secondary school teachers in mind and is suitable for teachers of any subject, not just art. We welcome all levels of art knowledge and experience and provide all materials.
