Join us for an exciting, hands-on workshop where you'll learn some processes artists use to develop new ideas. Inspired by a selection of works currently on display, we'll guide you through a series of dynamic sketchbook activities to work towards your own completed artwork. Feel free to bring in your own sketchbook to work from if you have any at home!
The session will be led by artist Matilda Ellis alongside a small team of experienced assistants. Family, friends and plus ones are all welcome and recommended, particularly if one-to-one support is required.
There will be a breakout space available, with a selection of sensory aids.
Ticketing
The event is free and no booking is required. Please complete this short form to share access requirements with us in advance.
Capacity is limited and this workshop series is in high demand. We kindly ask community groups to bring no more than 6-8 people, inclusive of support staff, to ensure we can safely meet everyone's needs on the day.
We welcome and encourage new community group bookings. Please email communities@royalacademy.org.uk. if you have any questions about the suitability of this workshop for your group.
