The Making of an Artist: Learning to Draw
Terms and conditions
Work with an expert tutor and life model in a practical life-drawing class in the RA’s historic Life Room.
The Royal Academy’s historic Life Room sits at the heart of the RA Schools. Usually closed to the public, this unique space was designed in the 1860s and is purpose built for drawing from life. Follow in the footsteps of generations of Royal Academy artists and students and join us for a guided life-drawing class.
Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the RA Schools and inspired by our displays Learning to Draw and The Renaissance Nude, this special one-off class is part of the Festival of Ideas.
Participants will work in a range of drawing materials and will practice drawing the model in a series of short and long poses.
£50. Includes all practical materials.
