Lewis thanks Roberts for his advice about the date for the election of Associates. He is hopeful of support from a good number of his friends among the RAs. He thinks
Stanfield is well disposed to him. He asks if it is etiquette to take on
Sir C. Eastlake: he has heard "entre nous" that Eastlake is anxious in his favour. He would like some advice on the point of canvassing.
