Unearth the possibilities of still life to develop your drawing skills.

Discover how sketching still life compositions can improve your drawing skills during this online class. Artist Annam Butt will lead you in a series of exercises exploring the interplay of line, shape, and tone in still life drawing. During this class you will develop your observation skills and drawing techniques and work towards making your own striking still lifes.

Our Saturday Sketch Clubs are a series of online monthly art classes led by artists. Whether you're a beginner or a practising artist, these live-streamed classes are designed for everyone. Sessions take place online via a live webinar. Attendees will be sent a link to join the webinar closer to the time.

Annam Butt is a London-based classically trained artist. Her British Pakistani heritage influences the themes in her works, which often explore the Orient. She collects macabre objects of curiosity and uses these to build narratives into her still life and figurative compositions.

For this class, all you will need is a pencil, paper and an eraser.
