Art historian and author Michael Peppiatt reveals a personal account of his friendship with painter Francis Bacon to art critic and curator Richard Cork.
Michael Peppiatt first met Francis Bacon in June 1963 in a pub in Soho; they began a friendship that would continue until Bacon's death thirty years later. Discussing his new book Francis Bacon in Your Blood, Peppiatt gives an intimate account of his relationship with the great and infamous Bacon, drawing on a range of their personal conversations about life and art, love and death, the revelatory and hilarious as well as the poignantly tragic.
