F. Ernest Jackson ARA (1872 - 1945)
RA Collection: Art
An etching of the fountains in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. Jackson frequently visited France on sketching trips and J.G.P Delaney observes that 'the fountains of Versailles held a special fascination for him and, in addition to the etching, were the subject of several watercolours'.
Jackson appears to have abandoned etching in favour of lithography from c. 1911.
