RA Collection: Art
A red chalk drawing of the head and shoulders of a bearded man with a scarf tied around his head. This is probably copied from a painting but the source has not yet been identified.
The drawing is attriubuted to William Parry A.R.A who was a student at the RA schools from February 1769 and was elected ARA 4 November 1776. Between 1770-75 he lived in Italy, studying the Old Masters. His stay was funded by Sir Watkins Williams Wynn, for whom he painted a copy of Raphael's Transfiguration.
