Content Description
Kelly makes proposals on ways in which to make the Summer Exhibition more attractive to young artists. He calls, among other things, for an improvement in the hanging of the exhibition, saying that he had never seen an exhibition so badly hung as that year's: "[t]here are always quite a lot of decent, pleasant pictures in every R.A., but alas there is quite a lot of indefensible trash, and when this is found to be contributed by our own members, offence is caused." He offers to attend Council to discuss his views.
