Content Description

He agrees with the proposition, but feels more should be said about the equitable hanging of different modes of pictures and placing of sculptures. The closs hanging of works will not satisfy any artist and the respectful spacing of pictures must be preferred. The evidence for this can be seen by the fact that many pictures of the year are subsequently exhibited in place like the Grosvenor Gallery, to better advantage. A building the size of the Paris Salon would certainly solve all of these difficulties. He suggests South Kensington.
