Content Description
He uses only those colours mentioned in Church's lectures, although he still hankers for deep yellow madder. He will send Church a list of his colours, most from Edouard although a couple are from [Monneau's?] in Brussels. Asphaltum would bear study, it was universally used by the Venetians. He is glad Church is procuring for his collection, which by degree will become of immense use to the profession.
