Visit the RA Shop
As part of our 250th anniversary celebrations, we expanded and redesigned our shop to provide a unique way of engaging with art, artists and creativity. More than just a retail space, we collaborate with contemporary artists to commission new work and create exclusive products.
In addition, we also launched Gallery X in the Porter Gallery – a new high-end space for limited editions and one-off pieces, including RA Art Sales.
See free displays
Explore masterpieces from our Collection, experimental work by current students at the RA Schools and installations by today’s top contemporary artists – all for free.
Eating and drinking
Stop off for a fresh coffee and light refreshment at the Courtyard Café and Poster Bar by José or experience the taste of summer at Spanish chef José Pizarro’s newest restaurant, located in the Senate Room in Burlington Gardens.
What is the Royal Academy?
For over 250 years, the RA has existed to make, exhibit and debate art, and to champion the work of artists and architects.
We’re run by the Royal Academicians, artists and architects elected by their peers in recognition of their exceptional work. We’re home to Britain’s longest established art school, we hold the Summer Exhibition, the world's largest open-submission art show, we present our collection of art and architecture in free displays throughout our home on Piccadilly. And we put on world-class exhibitions of art from around the world.
