Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the RA
The importance of equity, diversity and inclusion is a critical part of our work. We want our programmes and spaces to be inclusive and welcoming for all.
We are committed to being a truly inclusive place
Everyone should be able to share in and contribute to the RA experience, free from bias or discrimination based on personal characteristics such as age, disability, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital and civil partnership, or pregnancy. This is in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
We apply these principles of diversity, inclusion, and equal access to all aspects of our operations for the benefit of our visitors and the people who work with and for us.
Our commitments
Create spaces and experiences – both onsite and online – that are accessible, inclusive, and representative of diverse cultural and personal experience
Recruit and develop a diverse workforce at all levels
Establish and maintain appropriate policies and procedures that relate to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Act in accordance with the Equality Act 2010
Our work to make the RA an organisation committed to inclusion and race equity.
