The highlight of London’s social calendar.
Be the first to view and buy works at the world famous Summer Exhibition and enjoy a glamorous evening of champagne and canapés in the beautiful surroundings of the Royal Academy.
The purpose of the Summer Exhibition, which was set up in 1768, is to raise funds to support the Royal Academy Schools, Britain's first art school. Help us continue this tradition by supporting the Summer Exhibition Preview Party.
Please note that refunds are not given, and tickets will not be issued without guests’ names. Tickets will be sent out approximately two weeks before the event. Tickets may not be transferred. Please bring identification with you if collecting tickets on the day of the event.

Friends summer party
Join us in our Main Galleries as we celebrate the Summer Exhibition, the world’s largest open-submission contemporary art show. Now in its 249th year, the Summer Exhibition provides a unique platform for emerging and established artists to showcase works across painting and printmaking, photography, sculpture, architecture and film.
At this party, Friends can experience the Summer Exhibition like never before, with live music, delicious canapés and prosecco served throughout the evening. Tickets include a donation to the redevelopment of the RA.
