Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse
Join us for a private view and creative workshop based around an exhibition produced in collaboration between the RA and St Christopher’s Hospice, inspired by ‘Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse’.
Over the last five years, the Royal Academy of Arts has been involved with St Christopher’s Hospice. Coinciding with our major spring exhibitions, artist educators from the RA visit the hospice to work with patients, talking with them about the themes of the exhibitions, and helping them to create artworks of their own. This spring, we are pleased to present an exhibition of the work produced by hospice users, who sought inspiration from Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse during workshops held both at the hospice and the RA.
As well as an opportunity to view the works, the RA is offering a free artist-led workshop during the afternoon, to give members of the public an opportunity to engage creatively with this wonderful exhibition and add their work to the art on display.
Free, no booking required.
