Dream, Draw, Work
In celebration of the Richard Norman Shaw exhibition in the RA’s Tennant Gallery, we visit the Norman Shaw designed ‘Lowther Lodge’, headquarters of the Royal Geographical Society since 1913.
The RGS House Manager leads our tour of parts of the building usually only open to RGS members, including the 1930’s Library Member’s Room and Map Room. We will look at Norman Shaw’s original design, and the 1929 and 2004 extensions to the original building necessitated by the expansion of the society, as well as gaining an overview of the RGS’s contemporary role and challenges.
Includes coffee.
1 Kensington Gore, SW7. (Entrance in Exhibition Rd.)
