Summer Exhibition 2017
Join us for a special edition of our annual Friends summer party and help ensure we remain the world’s foremost artist-led organisation for the next 250 years.
Experience the Summer Exhibition like never before, as our Main Galleries are transformed for the evening. Enjoy live music from the Gin Club Trio, canapés from Caper & Berry and unlimited prosecco. Co-ordinated by Eileen Cooper RA, this year’s exhibition explores themes of discovery and new talent and features new work by emerging and established artists including Rosemarie Trockel, Hassan Hajjaj, Secundino Hernández, Isaac Julien, and more as well as submissions by new Royal Academicians including Gilbert & George and David Adjaye.
For an enhanced experience, VIP tickets provide access to an exclusive lounge with a live DJ and designated bar, as well as a special gift bag, which will include a Friends-edition Grayson Perry RA napkin.
See pictures of last year's event here.
This event is part of a special series of RA250 events, supporting our fundraising campaign Make Your Mark. By purchasing a ticket, you are helping to secure our future. Thank you!

We’re transforming the Royal Academy in time for our 250th birthday in 2018.
Alongside an expanded programme of world-class exhibitions, our building redevelopment will reveal the elements that make the RA unique - our historic Collection, the work of the artists and architects who run the RA, and the art school at the heart of our campus. The development will ensure we can continue to meet our founding principles: to present a broad range of art to the widest possible audience; to stimulate artistic debate, understanding and creation; and offer free education to the next generation of leading artists.
Please join us in making this ambitious project possible through a range of unique experiences and support opportunities from the Royal Academy.
