Our annual dinner and auction is an exclusive fundraising event in celebration and in aid of the RA Schools.

The RA Schools is the oldest art school in Britain and the only one of its kind in Europe. It continues to give an unparalleled opportunity for students to develop their craft during their three-year postgraduate degree. Although the Schools may be steeped in a long and prestigious history, it remains at the forefront of contemporary art education, constantly training and inspiring new generations of international artists.

The annual dinner and auction, chaired by Rob Suss and Stefan Bollinger, begins with a champagne and cocktail reception. Guests will view an exhibition of works donated by recently graduated RA Schools students, and Royal Academicians. Afterwards, guests will be seated for dinner and entertainment, followed by the auction.

Highlights from recent Schools auctions have included works by Rose Wylie RA, Jenny Holzer Hon RA, Wolfgang Tillmans RA, Marina Abramović Hon RA and Antony Gormley RA.

The proceeds of the auction will go directly towards our campaign in support of the RA Schools. Since its foundation, the Royal Academy of Arts has offered places based purely on the merit and creative excellence of applicants – completely free of fees – a tradition that we are proud to continue today.

Donation towards artist's seat – £800

This donation will be put towards seating as many artists who have contributed to the auction as possible. By donating towards the cost of these tickets you will be enabling us to raise even more money for the RA Schools.
