This exclusive event with Maserati will take you on a journey of Italian excellence, with a tasting of Italy’s most celebrated wines. Selected from regions along Italy’s picturesque ‘wine road’, you will travel through the vineyards of the Via Chiantigiana in this fun and informative wine tasting.
Maserati Esperienza is a bespoke series of events exclusively for Friends of the RA to celebrate Italian Excellence. Embodying the heritage and culture of the birthplace of Giorgione, the series draws inspiration from the fascinating exhibition In the Age of Giorgione.
A picturesque ‘wine road’ dating from the 1700s, the Via Chiantigiana, as it is known locally, crosses the Chianti region between Florence and Siena, west of the Pesa valley and the Elsa valley. Driving this road is a bit like driving through a Van Gogh painting with swaying cypress trees, rolling hills, and pretty hilltop villages that are simply stunning. One of the most instantly recognisable landscapes in the world, this region is renowned for its wine, and some of Italy’s most famous wine producers are located here. In this tasting you will sample new and old world wines from the most revered estates in the region.
To accompany your wines, guests will also enjoy a taste of Italian cuisine with light bites using quality, fresh ingredients synonymous with the flavours of Southern Italy.

We are delighted to collaborate with them to bring you a series of events celebrating exquisite and timeless Italian culture.
Maserati prize draw
As a member of the Royal Academy of Arts we would like to invite you to enter an exclusive Maserati prize draw to experience, first-hand, the performance, elegance and enjoyment that makes Maserati so unique.
