Use photo-collage to shift perspectives at this workshop for adults who face barriers to accessing the arts.

At this in-person workshop inspired by our exhibition Entangled Pasts, 1768–now, you’ll experiment with collage techniques and draw from personal experiences to imagine new narratives.

The session will be led by artist Cherelle Sappleton alongside a small team of experienced assistants. Family, friends and support staff are all welcome and recommended, particularly if one-to-one support is required.

There will be a breakout space available, with a selection of sensory aids.

Important information:

Capacity is limited and this workshop series is in high demand. We kindly ask groups and organisations to bring no more than 6-8 people, inclusive of support staff, to ensure we can safely meet the needs of everyone on the day.

Although there is no formal booking system, we invite you to complete this short form to share access requirements and participant numbers with us in advance.

Our team will do our best to support all participants but due to the format, we cannot predict how busy the space will become and therefore cannot ensure that the environment will be suitable for everyone.

Make and Connect is a monthly workshop series open to adults who face barriers to accessing the arts due to disability, health, isolation and other social factors.
