Friends tour the Arts and Crafts-style Little Holland House in Carshalton Beeches, which was the home of the artist and designer Frank Dickinson (1874–1961).
The house’s interior was influenced by the writings of John Ruskin and William Morris. Dickinson built his house between 1902 and 1904, and created a unique blend of traditional and Art Nouveau. This modest house’s Grade II-listed interior contains many of his artworks as well as his handmade furniture, paintings, interior decoration and metalwork. Dickinson named his house as homage to G. F. Watts, the Victorian artist and social campaigner, as his London residence was also named Little Holland House.
When booking for this event, please choose between the following two time slots: 11.30am – 12.45pm or 2pm – 3.15pm.
This event is also taking place on 13 January 2016.
