Bordering the Thames in Fulham and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds, The Hurlingham Club is a green oasis of tradition and international prominence.
The clubhouse is a beautiful Georgian villa, with later additions by Edward Lutyens in 1906. After extensive damage by bombing in the Second World War, the club rose from the ashes to fashion a clubhouse with enviable private spaces including the beautiful Palm Court, Conservatory and Orangery as well as unrivalled sporting facilities such as the club’s swimming pool.
This rare private tour of the Hurlingham Club encompasses the club’s history as a place of sporting renown, and will examine the club’s art collection and interior architecture. Guests will also have a chance to view the club’s legendary grounds, where polo was established in Britain.
