Founded in 1831, this exclusive private members club houses the largest and most significant collection of British theatrical works of art.
The founding members of the Garrick were a diverse group that included peers of the realm as well as writers, actors, musicians and publishers, who set up the club with the aim of combining the traditions of an 18th-century literary society and a dining and social club.
Named after the pioneering 18th-century actor David Garrick, the Garrick Club showcases over 1,000 paintings, drawings and sculptures including works by Johan Zoffany, Thomas Lawrence and John Everett Millais. We are privileged to be able to offer this special tour of the club which is given by theatre historian, Frances Hughes.
This event will also take place on 21 June.
£36. Includes coffee, tea and biscuits.
