Friends of the RA book first
Antony Gormley
We invite Friends of the RA to join us for an exclusive preview of our exhibition ‘Antony Gormley’ before it opens to the public.
Following in the footsteps of Ai Weiwei and Anselm Kiefer, Antony Gormley will take over our Main Galleries for our next major show this autumn. Exploring his whole career, including rarely-seen early works, pocket workbooks and drawings, this illuminating exhibition is his most ambitious in ten years.
Through a series of experiential installations in iron, steel, seawater and clay, we invite you to find your own path through the exhibition, sometimes through and around the artworks themselves.
As a Friend of the RA, be the first to experience the exhibition at your exclusive preview days, three days ahead of the public opening.
We are pleased to announce that we have extended the opening hours for the Friends Preview on 20 September to 10pm. Friends of the RA can now join the Teacher’s Private View for an after-hours view ahead of the public opening. Simply click ‘book now’ and select your timeslot.
This event is open to Friends of the RA, RA250 Friends and RA250 Supporters and members of the Academicians’ Room only.
Please note: if you are sensitive to enclosed spaces, one of the works may not be suitable for you to enter. Please ask a member of staff for the best route around. Some of the works contain water, sharp edges and materials that can transfer onto clothing.
