Explore areas of the building not normally seen by the public on this private Triforium tour of St Paul’s Cathedral.
The Triforium of a church or cathedral is the shallow arched gallery within the thickness of an inner wall, above the nave. It might occur at the same level as the clerestory windows or as a separate level just below and, as such, is not normally open to the public.
Our Triforium tour at St Paul’s also includes a visit to the trophy room, where Wren's Great Model is on display, the magnificent library, the geometric staircase and the spectacular views from the west end down the nave of the Cathedral. We learn about the design Sir Christopher Wren originally made for St Paul's, which he was obliged to recast along more conventional lines to give us the magnificent cathedral we see today.
