Booking and attending Friends excursions and events
Enjoy a private visit to the beautiful Kelmscott Manor, the country home of William Morris, with a specially arranged opportunity to see Morris’s personal books.
On our private tour for Friends of the RA, we learn about the life and work of Morris at the Manor, which he lived in from 1871 until his death in 1896. We see works by Morris and other members of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, including furniture, textiles, carpets and ceramics.
A selection of Morris’s books, including items from the Kelmscott Press and medieval herbals will be available to view, with Dr. Kathy Haslam, a Morris expert on hand to answer questions.
