Phyllida Barlow RA
Up-cycle throwaway materials in this workshop based on sculptures in Phyllida Barlow RA ‘cul de sac’.
What do we do with old bottle lids, cardboard boxes and cartons instead of throwing them away? We make sculptures! Discover how everyday items are far from rubbish in this family studio workshop inspired by the sculptural assemblages of Phyllida Barlow RA and her exhibition cul de sac. Barlow uses found objects to create impressive displays that dominate spaces to become part of the architecture. Come and create your own collaborative sculptures to challenge the idea that art has to be made of rare materials. Can a material be precious for a different reason?
Free, no booking required.
