They had a date with fate in 'Casablanca'!
We head back to 1941 and Rick’s Café Américain for a fight for love and glory. Bogart, Bergman, romance and peril. Simple elements that, combined, magically turned a modest WWII drama into one of the most celebrated films of all time. Includes a fabulous supporting cast (Claude Rains, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet) of complex characters, crisp cinematography, some of the most quotable – and misquoted – lines in all cinema, and of course, Dooley Wilson’s signature ivory tinkling.
Michael Curtiz, 1942 | U | 98 mins
Doors open at 7pm, film starts at 8:30pm.
Tickets (£15 + £1.50 booking fee) include musical entertainment before the film. Premium tickets (£25 + £2.50 booking fee) also include seating and a Sipsmith/Fever-Tree G&T on arrival.
Street food vendors will operate from the courtyard offering a range of delicious hot food for purchase. Snacks such as ice cream and popcorn will also be available to buy, along with a variety of alcoholic beverages, teas, coffee and soft drinks. The Sipsmith Sipping Bar will be on hand and visitors may bring their own refreshments too. Please note that glass bottles may be included in picnics but cups must be plastic.
The galleries will be closed during our screening but the cloakroom and facilities will be available.
