Klimt / Schiele
An event for blind and partially sighted visitors. Join us for an audio described tour of the exhibition, followed by refreshments and a handling session.
Klimt / Schiele brings together rare and fragile drawings, offering an intimate insight into the artistic friendship and differing creative processes of two Austrian artists, Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. Both revelled in the immediacy of drawing, an ideal medium for exploring new ideas of modernity, subjectivity and the erotic.
Join us for this audio described tour to encounter the portraits, landscapes, nudes and erotic drawings of these two icons of Modernism. After the tour, a handling session will focus on exploring objects detailing their use of different creative methods and materials.
This event includes refreshments and volunteer support is provided.
Free, booking required.
