Friends enjoy a private tour of the home of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, one of the largest Livery Companies in the City of London whose stunning courtyard building boasts some of the best-preserved 17th century livery hall interiors.
Built on the site of the Black Friars Priory, the original Hall burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666 and was rebuilt in 1672. On our tour we learn about the significance of this historic site and the history of the Worshipful Society as we walk through the Great Hall, Court Room and Parlour and view artefacts from the Collection which is made up of paintings, silverware, furniture and other items which have associations with the Society and its work.
This event is also taking place on 19 April 2016.
