Allen Jones RA
Join us for a cultured Friday night as we celebrate the final weeks of our Allen Jones RA exhibition with a music performance and special screening of a play inspired by one of the artist’s sculptures.
Allen Jones RA is a guaranteed conversation starter, and there’s even more reason to visit with a couple of friends after dark on the 16th of January – which also happens to be the birthday of our poster girl Kate Moss. Banish the winter doldrums over a drink in Atelier Café while Greg Miller and his band provide bluesy musical accompaniment.
We will also be screening In a Hole, a short play written by Claire Frankland and directed by Biba Lille-West. It deals with themes such as the commodification of the body and the quest for physical perfection, taking inspiration from one of the sculptures on display in Allen Jones RA. First performed in the London home of Gary Hume RA, the play has been specially restaged and filmed to coincide with the exhibition.
Free, no booking required.
