Giovanni Battista Moroni
Take a cue from our Giovanni Battista Moroni exhibition and join us for an evening fusing Christmas merriment with the opulence of the Renaissance.
Get your festive season started with a bang at this unique celebration, bringing to life the world depicted in the paintings of 16th-century master portraitist Giovanni Battista Moroni.
Your ticket includes a warming seasonal cocktail inspired by the flavours of the Renaissance, plus entrance to the sumptuous visual feast that is the exhibition. To help transport your senses back in time to Moroni’s Italy, Odette Toilette will be running special talks at selected times throughout the evening that recreate the scents of the age.
Among other highlights will be magnificent choral performances from The Renaissance Singers, bringing to life the Italian sacred music of Moroni's age, as well as roaming minstrels, dance performances and more. There’ll even be opportunities to have your own portrait sketched by our artists, or to take part in a themed life drawing session, courtesy of Art Macabre.
Dressing up is encouraged, so don your finest Renaissance-inspired outfit. Prizes will be given on the night to the best costume. Tickets are limited, so don't miss out!
