“Magnificent and most peculiar objects...” Spanning early Bronze Age ceramics by the Bell Beaker culture, to sun-dazzled studies of 20th-century Spain by Joaquín Sorolla, our landmark exhibition charts the history of the Spanish-speaking world through 150 artworks. The Hispanic Society Museum and Library in New York is home to the most extensive collection of Spanish art outside of Spain and is presented for the first time in the UK, here at the Royal Academy.
