Announcing the winner of the RA Dorfman Award 2020
Our jury, chaired by Norman Foster, had the difficult choice between four outstanding finalists for this year's award: AAU Anastas, AOR Architects, BCKJ Architects and WHBC Architects. Every entrant demonstrated the importance of teamwork, going against the tide and embracing their wider communities. Our heartfelt congratulations go to the ultimate winners of this year's award, Beijing-based BCKJ Architects, as well as all of our finalists.

Cristina Iglesias and Norman Foster RA in conversation
On 3 December 2020, we celebrated the RA Architecture Awards with a conversation between Cristina Iglesias, the 2020 RA Architecture Prize winner, and Norman Foster RA, the chair of the jury. Cristina Iglesias explored her work and its connections to public space. The conversation ranged from gallery spaces to city squares, charting the important public aspects of Iglesias’ work.
Royal Academy Dorfman Award
The Royal Academy Dorfman Award champions new talent in architecture.
It is awarded to an emerging architect, practice or collective who is reimagining the future of architecture and whose work demonstrates sensitivity to local and global contexts.
