RA Collection: People and Organisations
The New English Art Club (NEAC) is a membership and exhibiting society for contemporary artists that was founded in London, England, in 1886 as an alternative venue to the Royal Academy. Founding members included William Laidlay, Thomas Cooper Gotch, Frank Bramley, John Singer Sargent, Philip Wilson Steer, George Clausen and Stanhope Forbes.
