RA Collection: People and Organisations
Frith Street Gallery was founded in Frith Street, London, in 1989 by Jane Hamlyn. The gallery represents contemporary artists ranging from well known figures to emerging names, working across many different media from painting to film and video to performance.
The gallery opened a new, larger space in Golden Square, London in May 2007. To celebrate the gallery’s 25th anniversary in October 2014 the original gallery space at 60 Frith Street was re-opened as a venue for artists' projects and special exhibitions, to run alongside the gallery’s main space at Golden Square.
