Photographer. Sir Emery Walker (1851-1933) was an engraver, typographer and photographer associated with the improvement of fine book production. A friend of William Morris and a fellow socialist, Walker worked with Morris at the Kelmscott Press and later co-founded the Doves Press. Most of Walker's photographs were produced for purposes of book production though he also photographed his immediate circle. A large number of Walker negatives are held by the National Portrait Gallery.
