Photographer. Augustus Charles Cooper founded the company in 1918, one of the first to specialise in photographing works of art. Cooper was active to at least the 1940s, the company he founded now operates from 1st Floor, 30 New Bond Street, London, W1S 2RN.
According to National Portrait Gallery website he was born in 1873 and died in 1960
