Lithographic printer, important for the revival of lithography in Britain. Explained lithography to James Abbott McNeill Whistler, who first experimented with the process in 1878. Prepared Whistler’s stones and from 1884 printed his lithographs and also his publicity. His son, Thomas Robert Way (1861-1913), catalogued Whistler’s lithographs.
