Paris print publisher, printseller and wallpaper manufacturer, son of André. Married in 1787. Premises at the corner of rue St Jacques and rue des Mathurins. Very active during the revolutionary period. Retired in 1819; business continued by various members of the family at same address before disappearing after 1865.
Basset publications are sometimes found with running numbers at top right, which presumably refer to a catalogue.
