Amy Petra Woodward (b.1986 London, England) previously studied at Camberwell College of Art.

She considers the role of investigation, the act of viewing connected to expectation, and the attitude with which we see. In her work, a specificity of material is used, with new technologies and procedures, to re-view what is familiar or the original.

Woodward creates photographs, prints, sculpture and installations that navigate an interest in our relationships to images and the conditions of their display.

A serial approach in her work readjusts what is an alleged whole and what is an assumed part, asking what constitutes a ‘whole’ body.
