$a These twenty four plates are part of a group of thirty-two (twenty after Turner and twelve after Buckler) which had first been published serially under the title, History of Richmondshire, by Dr. Thomas Whitaker between 1818 and 1823. The 'List of Subjects' lists twenty-four titles; the plates are also captioned.
