Provenance
The verso of the front loose endpaper is inscribed in pencil, 'S.A:H:', i.e. S.A. Hart, librarian of the Royal Academy 1864-81. The front pastedown carries the 19th-century armorial bookplate of William Twopeny.
Binding Note
19th-century calf; gilt-decorated spine, black morocco spine-label lettered 'Knight's Normans In Sicily.' The verso of the front loose endpaper carries the binder's stamp, 'Bound By Hering 9 Newman St'.
