Summary Note
The publication carries no date, but Huquier is known to have had his business 'vis-à-vis le Grand Chatelet' from about 1729 to July 1737, and he advertised both the 'Premier Livre' and 'Second Livre de Vases' in the Mercure de France of May 1737.
The 'Premier Livre de Vases' was later reissued with an imprint giving Huquier's address as 'rue St Jacques', from which he is first recorded as doing business in January 1738.

18th-century speckled calf; rebacked in 1996, red and black morocco spine-labels lettered 'Oeuvres De Bouche & De La Joue Tom. II'. Bound with 'Livre de Cartouches Inventés Par François Boucher' and 20 others.
