The other eleven plates reproduce outline drawings of some of the decorations of the Grand Escalier at Versailles, which Charles Lebrun designed and executed between 1674 and 1678. One shows Louis XIV crossing the Rhine; the rest show decorative details incorporating allegoric figures.
