Summary Note

The text describes various public ceremonies in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.

The double plate is captioned and shows a joust, 'Exemplum Ludicræ Commissionis Equestris ...'. The in-text illustrations are all in Part II, and show statues of mounted knights, a procession of horses, courts, jousts, a flag-bearer and two sieges; but most show armorial devices. The book also carries head-pieces and tail-pieces and decorated initials.

The upper cover is stamped with armorial bookplate of 'Anthoni Fugger 1586'. The front pastedown carries the armorial bookplate of 'Zacharias Geizkofler ... M.D.CIII'.
