Summary Note
The plates are captioned and show motifs from faience, glassware, manuscripts, enamels, carpets, silverware, armour, wooden and stone carving. Many would now be identified as Arabic or Turkish rather than Persian. The 'Table Des Planches' recommends the motifs as suitable for use on ceramics, textiles etc.
All plates are printed in colour, apart from pl. 3, 14, 26, 41.
