Provenance
The recto of the front loose endpaper has an owner's inscription in black ink, 'Mrs Wm M. Fitzhugh / Paris 1900'. There are pencil notes throughout the text and on the verso of the rear loose endpaper. Also on this page notes in pencil (from bookseller?): 'Fitzhugh family = / famous collectors' and 'Cont. pencil / annotations'.
Binding Note
The book has red cloth binding with black ink lettering on the front cover and with the spine lettered in gilt, 'Fine / Arts / Exhibit / - / United States / Of America / - / Paris / 1900'.
