The plates are captioned, and show: [1-5] Romanesque and Arab monuments in and near Seville; [6-9] architectural details and reliquaries of the Romanesque monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos, near Burgos; [10] remains of the Visigothic monastery of San Roman de Hornija, near Zamora.
Four plates are lithographs - three of them chromolithographs.
